Customer Onboarding Tutorial
Set up workspaces and onboard your first customers
Onboarding customers efficiently is essential for agency success. This guide covers workspace setup, permissions, and access management.
Understanding Customer Workspaces
Each customer should have their own workspace. Each workspace includes:
- Brand guide
- Brand voice
- TrendMaster
- Integrations
Two Setup Options
Option 1: Done-For-You Service — You fill out everything for the customer.
Option 2: Customer Self-Setup — Invite customers with specific permissions so they can configure their own workspace.
Customer Access Through White Label
If you invite users at the workspace level, they access their workspace through your connected domain — seeing only your branding.
Permission Management
Select the integrations permission level so customers only see the brand guide and integration settings. If a customer will not share social media access, invite them with integration permission so they can connect channels themselves.
The Three-Step Onboarding Process
Step 1: Workspace Creation
Create a dedicated workspace for the customer.
Step 2: Brand Setup
Create the brand guide and set up brand voice for their content.
Step 3: Integration Setup
Connect LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and other channels.
Business Model Considerations
- Done-For-You: We do not recommend inviting customers to the web app — manage everything on their behalf.
- Do-It-Yourself: Invite with full access. They will see your logo and domain only.
Critical Permission Detail
Customer invitations must happen at the workspace level, not the agency level. Open the workspace, click Settings, then Users.
